UK Homeopathic Climate Research Institute warns of a “worrying slip towards pre-industrial levels”.
As global restrictions on travel and heavy industry decimate global CO2 production, the head of the UK Homeopathic Climate Research Institute warns of a “worrying slip towards pre-industrial levels”, raising fears the greenhouse gas’s potency will irreversibly increase.
The last 80 years has seen the global efforts to increase atmospheric CO2 levels begin to bear fruit. Starting at a dizzying 315 ppm in 1960, levels had already reached the more manageable level of 400 ppm by the middle of last decade. However, recent reports by NASA show that as-yet-unblemished positive trend may falter if the current quarantine continues for much longer.
The UKHCR provided some glimmers of hope citing “constructive talks” with Saudi AramCo that contributed to the middle eastern oil giant’s recent increase in oil production.
“Very, very few of us should come together to make sure the historic work by the likes of Royal Dutch Shell and BP is not compromised.”Harmony Thomas-Williams (Capricorn) – Head of UK Homeopathic Climate Research Institute
Other members of the institute refused to formally comment on the issue, saying as little as possible, as not to reduce the impact of Harmony’s plea for help.
